Wedding Hor Dourves Caterers

" Arrach of a bras. - The snatch was pulled to the right or left, as the competitor [...]. Very aesthetic movement, which has both strength and flexibility, the snatch was always very popular with the Latin races, especially since he shoots a time leg (bending sharply to the lower extremities).
The maximum was achieved by CHARLES RIGOULOT, light-heavyweight champion, who manages 87 k. 500 in a beautiful style, the Italian [...] [Carlo] Galimberti, who was champion out of the category [means], and snatched 77 k. 500, missing 80 kilos in the third test. "

M. Bourdonnay-Schewich, Secretary General of the FIH at the time of the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, Official Report of the VIII Olympiad, p.. 510

With the Olympics in 1928, the Fédération Internationale d' weight-lifting (the current International Weightlifting Federation ) decided to lift the barbell ball - much loved by French weightlifters - and raised an arm, giving rise to a regulation that, subject to minor modifications, remained unchanged until January 1, 1973, the day was finally abolished even the slow relaxation.
Although not shrug "approved" for over 80 years, from my point of view, the tear in the arm has great charm and certainly helpful to some extent, since in any case is still used in many training programs, although more often with dumbbells or dormice and more rarely with Olympic barbells 2.20 m long, especially for a question of balance.
As more or less a year ago I got the idea to try it, after several attempts I managed to go from the simple barbell weights low vacuum type 25 or 30 kg. Continuing to increase the weight slowly I came to my personal record of 45 kg. I would say that for the time being I can be considered satisfied, though it is still half way from the last record of approved 'Hercules Charles Rigoulot of France (87.5 kg), and even further away from other records have not been approved and most modern, such as 110 kg of weight in one arm pull supermaximum Russian Mikhail Koklyaev (cat. +105 kg). Again, however, there is always the possibility of improving a little at a time ... and then the 99 pounds it sounds really bad!

tear in the arm 45 kg - 99 lbs One arm snatch.
